Terra Joy
This unreleased documentary follows Terra Castro, a decorated endurance athlete who has competed in triathlon and duathlon at the highest levels. Based in Detroit, Terra has created a thriving fitness community centered on athletic excellence, personal empowerment, and unity. Through intimate interviews and dynamic footage, we capture her journey and the inspiring impact she's had on those around her.
DTE Documentary | Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition
This impactful documentary piece examines critical environmental justice issues facing Michigan communities. Working with the Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition, we created a compelling narrative that brings attention to important social and environmental concerns. Through interviews, observational footage, and thoughtful editing, we crafted a video that educates and inspires action on behalf of affected communities.
You Got Everything, Honey (2020)
We had the privilege of sitting down and listening to the story of Maria Colon, an amazing woman who grew up in poverty in Puerto Rico. She tells of the tragedies she faced as a child as well as the struggles she faced when moving to Detroit.
Awarded “Best Spirit of Puerto Rico” at the Rincon International Film Festival in 2019, Nominated for “Best Picture” at We Make Movies International Film Festival and Splice Film Fest in 2019, and screened at an additional 6 festivals across the country.
The Canary in the Coal Mine (2020)
We had the opportunity to interview Oksana Mirzoyan, an accomplished filmmaker and producer. She told some of her backstory as well as her philosophy on creativity and filmmaking.
Composition (2020)
This process film was shot in extreme closeup with macro lenses in order to get a closer look at the process of the simple task of putting on makeup. The goal of the piece was to “elevate the mundane” by presenting an everyday activity in a fresh and beautiful way.
